The Atlantic Privateers Rugby Club has officially unveiled their highly awaited new jerseys. The announcement comes as the team prepares to embark on their journey to clinch the coveted Coast to Coast Cup, with the unveiling ceremony coinciding with the launch of the team’s brand-new website, privateersrugby.com.

The centerpiece of the new jersey design is a striking wave pattern, meticulously crafted to symbolize the club’s deep-rooted pride in their Atlantic heritage. Inspired by the powerful and ever-changing nature of the ocean, the wave motif embodies the resilience, strength, and unity of the Atlantic Privateers as they navigate the challenges of the rugby landscape.

“This is a momentous occasion for our club as we unveil these stunning new jerseys,” remarked Dr. John Gillis, General Manager of the Atlantic Privateers Rugby Club. “The wave pattern not only pays homage to our Atlantic roots but also serves as a powerful symbol of our determination to conquer new horizons.”

Designed in collaboration with renowned rugby apparel brand Paladin, the jerseys seamlessly blend style with functionality. Crafted from high-performance materials, the jerseys offer optimal comfort, durability, and breathability, ensuring that players feel confident and supported on the field.

In addition to their symbolic significance, the new jerseys hold special meaning for the Atlantic Privateers as they set their sights on the Coast to Coast Cup. With the competition looming on the horizon, the unveiling of the jerseys marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the team as they prepare to showcase their talent and determination on the national stage.

“The Coast to Coast Cup is a key part of the journey toward the re-birth of a Canadian national senior men’s rugby competition, and we are fully committed to bringing home the Coast to Coast Anchor to our Atlantic shores,” remarked Gillis. “These jerseys embody our collective aspirations and serve as a rallying cry for our players and supporters as we embark on this journey together.”

Also featured on the new jerseys are the logos of three local companies who have climbed aboard for our journey. Garrison Brewing, one of Atlantic Canada’s most popular local breweries (and the Privateers official post-match venue) will grace the front of the jerseys. On the back of the jersey’s will be the logo for Admiral Insurance, who have an office located in Halifax and have consistently been recognized as one of Atlantic Canada’s Top Employers. The sleeves of the jerseys will feature the logo of Marco. As the largest Atlantic Canadian-based contractor, Marco have been highly involved in the build up of infrastructure throughout Atlantic Canada, and it’s only fitting that they are also involved in the build up of the Atlantic Privateers.

The launch of the team’s website, privateersrugby.com, will provide fans with enhanced access to team news, player updates, and exclusive content, further solidifying the bond between the club and its supporters.
